Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London

I stopped by the restaurant for drinks but didn't stay at the hotel. The saffron tea was enjoyable, and the desserts were very good. My hot chocolate, though, was average and tasted like it came from a powder. The desserts arrived after we'd finished our drinks, and we had to remind the server. Our server also seemed disengaged and inattentive. We asked if our friend, who'd ordered drinks but no food, would get complimentary nuts. We were told no because the table had ordered desserts, which was confusing. It seemed odd that the other guests' food order meant our friend couldn't have them. A clearer explanation would've helped. People come to places like this expecting standout service, and at first that wasn't what we got. The manager later clarified that our friend should have received nuts, removed the service charge, and sincerely apologised for the delay and misunderstanding. She kindly offered macarons as an apology. We declined but appreciated the gesture. Guests come here as a treat, and service is a big part of that experience, which is why I wanted to leave a review.

Maria and Ashton were outstanding on the day of my baby shower. They were professional, kind and attentive, and the team even helped my decorator carry and set up the props. Everyone made us feel welcome and looked after, and their help made the day even more special and memorable than I'd imagined. Ashleigh was warm, professional and supportive throughout the planning. I didn't get to see her at the end because she was on annual leave, but I'm so grateful for all she did. Sarina then smoothly took over the communication and coordination, keeping every detail on track and making everything stress-free. Please pass my thanks to everyone behind the scenes who helped make the celebration so lovely. The team's hospitality made this a day I'll always remember fondly. We'll definitely come back with our baby!

The flowers in the lobby set a grand, elegant tone as soon as you arrive. Matilda gave excellent service at check-in, and everyone we met at Rosebery was wonderful during our late breakfast. The lady at the spa, who I think was Italian, was stellar too. A beautiful classic luxury hotel with lovely hospitality.

We had a deluxe room with an amazing view of Knightsbridge. It was a little noisy, but worth it. The room was neat and cozy, and housekeeping worked hard to keep it clean and comfortable. Breakfast had fresh, delicious food, and the restaurant staff were polite and caring. The location is amazing, right next to Knightsbridge Station, so it's easy to get around. Hyde Park is behind the hotel and was peaceful and lovely. The whole experience was excellent, thanks to everyone who made it so memorable. We really hope to come back soon! 😊
