Marriott Executive Apartments London, Canary Wharf

We were on the 9th floor, looking out at a building exhaust fan and the highway. In the first room, the garbage bag in the kitchen looked as though it hadn't been changed in months, the can was even worse, and the furniture was stained with food. The rooms also smelled of damp and old food. We walked straight in and out of the second room because it stank. The third smelled okay, but clearly needed cleaning. They asked us to wait while it was cleaned, but it wasn't done, so I was fed up enough to buy my own products and clean it myself. Getting extra washcloths took two hours and several phone calls. We were told the manager would call after that wait, but no call came. In the end, the engineer who came to fix the TV tracked down the maid and brought us some. Terrible hotel. I'll never stay here again or recommend it.

The facilities were top-class, and the team were friendly. Check-in was quick too. Really impressed, and I'll definitely come back.

The apartment had plenty of space and great amenities. We especially appreciated the washer and dryer on our floor as a family. Staff gave excellent service, and the view from the apartment was beautiful, particularly at night. Getting around was easy, with both Jubilee and Elizabeth line stations close by for central London and Heathrow Airport. Shopping malls, grocery stores and lots of restaurants were nearby as well.

The rooms were lovely and clean, and the central location put us near nice restaurants, shops and the train station. Definitely a place worth staying.
