The emergency contact still hadn't replied by Monday, after my stay on Saturday evening, even though I called, texted, and left a voicemail. The heating and hot water weren't working, and the thermostat showed 14 degrees. I was there with my disabled sister, and the thin duvet had no extra blankets to go with it. I kept waking through the night because of the cold, and I wouldn't be surprised if one or both of us got ill. The bed was unsafe too. In our room, the mattress was too large for its frame. When I crawled across it, I fell off the side because the bottom of the bed didn't support the mattress. I've never stayed somewhere worse. If you care about health and safety, don't stay here. If you already have it booked, I'd find somewhere else, because the hosts clearly don't value guests' wellbeing or experience.

Avoid this place. The room was dirty, with random bits of building material around, and the toilet seat was broken in half. The bed collapsed when our little girl sat on it. We were then told we'd have to carry a folding bed up three flights of stairs ourselves. We had to find somewhere else to stay and still haven't received the refund we were promised.

It's in a nice, quiet area, with a shop next door, and the apartment has a comfortable bed and a well-equipped kitchen. The location is good. The bathroom was mouldy, though, and there was no hot water.

We had a studio that felt private, and it was quiet and clean. A lovely place for a couple, with stations and Underground stops very close by.
