McCafferty’s Guesthouse

Tracy made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. She was friendly, professional and a pleasure to talk to, and her kindness and attention really added to my visit. The pub had a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the food was excellent. I was thoroughly impressed with McCafferty’s Bar & Guest House and would highly recommend it for the food, comfortable setting and hospitality. Kind Regards Sammy Driscoll

The room was so noisy that I struggled to sleep, and the cleanliness was far below basic hotel standards. The carpet was heavily stained, the air conditioner was dirty and smelled unpleasant, and the bedding had what looked like blood stains and yellow discoloration on the pillows. The bathroom was especially shocking: the toilet appeared stained with faeces and vomit. I would not recommend staying here, and strongly advise management to deal with these hygiene issues right away.

We had our wedding reception dinner and private party at O'Grady's, and it was perfect from beginning to end. Saoirse was wonderful to work with, so patient and accommodating through all the planning. She spent lots of time helping us make the table plan and arrange the room, and made everything feel easy. We could access the venue the night before to decorate, so we could relax on the wedding day instead of setting up that morning. The meal was outstanding and worth every penny. We chose our starters, had a delicious carvery with generous portions, and our guests are still talking about it. There were two dessert choices as well as our wedding cake, which the staff kindly cut and served. They set up a lovely area for our music, and after dinner we moved the tables and had a little dance. Saoirse even extended the party by an extra hour so we could celebrate longer with family and friends. We were also given a hotel room in the same building for our wedding night. It was so convenient to change there after the ceremony, go straight to the reception, then head upstairs when the night was over. Thanks so much for making it special. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or team. Highly, highly recommend! I wish I could relive the whole day.

The guest house upstairs was clean and tidy, and it was child friendly too. The staff were so friendly and made us feel like regulars. The food was amazing, and the "Perfect All-Rounder" was a fantastic experience from start to finish. I'll definitely be back.
