Mercure London Hyde Park Hotel

The rooms were clean and quiet despite the busy London setting, and there are shops and restaurants an easy walk away. I stayed for five nights and would happily stay again. Staff were really friendly, especially Adan and Deeia. Bella’s, the restaurant attached to the building, was wonderful too. I ate there more than five times, and the breakfast was great. Ash served us with such kindness.

Breakfast had the basics I wanted to start the day, including coffee, eggs, fruit, and pastries, and I'd recommend it. We had a lovely five-day holiday and would like to return. The standard room was thoughtfully designed, with a comfortable bed and shower, plus plenty of cupboard space for clothes and suitcases. The closet door stuck a little, but we could still use it. The minibar was refilled daily, a nice treat after a day out, and the room was cleaned each day. The location was excellent for reaching lots of sights on foot or by public transport. Check-in and checkout were smooth, and the reception team gave great service.

The staff were super helpful, the location was great, the Wi-Fi was excellent, and breakfast at the bear cafe was good. I stayed one night and had a good time, though a few room issues got in the way. The blinds didn't work properly, and there were stains around the lavatory. The toilet was so small that a big guy couldn't sit straight or fit properly, so changing its orientation might help. There was no charging socket by the bed; the closest one was on the next one.

Deeia made a big difference when my friends and I had trouble with our rooms. One staff member seemed to be getting agitated, but Deeia stepped in and got our check-in sorted smoothly. We were probably quite loud and disruptive while admiring the hotel, yet she stayed professional, treated everyone with respect and dignity, made us feel welcome, and made us laugh a lot. She has an engaging personality, and the service is why I'm giving five stars. This was my second visit, once with my husband and once with friends, and both stays were incredible. The rooms are a little small but beautiful, and the hotel's interior really catches the vibe outside. There's also a lovely bench area by what seems like a park, a nice spot to be around nature in busy London. The rooms were cleaned well, with no dust in sight. Staff were always happy to bring fresh towels or tissue rolls and were professional and helpful. I'd recommend staying here, and I'll definitely come for a third time.
