The shared bathroom was poorly respected by other guests, and my room was dusty and smelled of cigarettes. Outside noise was annoying, and the walls were so thin I could hear a shower starting or someone coughing. I don't know what was wrong with the sheets, but my partner and I both developed a rash after the first night. Calling this a four-star place feels like a lie.

The location was quiet, with an easy walk to the tube and bus. There were plenty of restaurants and coffee shops in the neighbourhood, and a Sainsbury's just a few minutes away. We used the laundry facilities without any trouble. The staff were wonderful and helpful, and I loved the room: plenty of space, a fan, wardrobe and desk, plus a comfortable bed. The shared bathrooms were always clean and available. I'd definitely stay again.

The receptionist was lovely and let us leave our luggage before check-in. The rooms are a decent size and the location is good, but sharing a bathroom wasn't ideal. It was also very loud. A market below meant lots of people and heavy carts setting up shop, and there was outside noise and frequent door slamming.

The noise from nearby came right through the room, and it wasn't a good stay. The room I was given was old, had stains on the wall and looked nothing like the pictures. There was also a foul smell.

The shared bathroom may put some people off, and the rooms weren't especially comfortable. Still, for the price it was worth it for me. The location was excellent, convenient and close to everything I needed. If you're travelling on a budget and want to be well placed, this does the job.
