Mornington Victor Hotel London Belgravia

My room was nice and spacious, and I had a great stay at Morning Victor Hotel London Belgravia. Rukhmina and Joanna at reception were really gentle and always willing to help or suggest good things to do in the city. Abdoulaye too! Victoria and Pimlico station are close by, and the area seemed very safe at night. Thank you, JC 🇫🇷

I booked a Twin Room in advance, but when I arrived it had been changed to a Double Room with a sofa bed and described as an “UPGRADE.” There was no email, call, warning, or consent. I needed twin beds, so I don't understand the point of booking a specific room type if the hotel can swap it for whatever is available. The soundproofing was terrible, the sofa bed uncomfortable, and the noise kept me from sleeping before my EMBASSY APPOINTMENT the next morning. On two separate days, different staff took my email address and promised the manager would contact me VERY SOON. I still haven't had one email, call, or apology. I heard nothing back until my booking agent got involved. The hotel's offer was a 15% discount on a FUTURE stay, which assumes I'd trust them with another booking. Somehow, they made me feel like I was the inconvenience.

The room setup was a serious problem for us: the double bed could only be reached from one side, and this had not been mentioned in anything we checked before booking. My wife is temporarily disabled and relies on a walking stick, so that limitation mattered a lot. We also found out only after complaining that room cleaning had to be requested at reception. The manager agreed guests should have been told at check-in. Neither issue was communicated when we booked on Booking.com or when we arrived. After this disappointing three-night stay, we formally requested compensation under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Maged at reception made my birthday stay especially enjoyable. He was kind, generous with his time, and a real help. The location, cleanliness, and noise levels were all perfectly acceptable. No problems at all, and I'll stay here again.
