Native Waterloo

The noise from drilling and hammering was so bad you couldn't hear yourself think. When we arrived, our unit was wrapped in scaffolding, despite being assured at booking that the work and scaffolding would be finished. The workers I spoke to through the front window were surprised anyone was staying there and couldn't say when the work would end. Management brought flowers and wine to apologize, but the apartment still wasn't livable, so we're moving.

I stayed at Native Waterloo for 33 days. Cleaning was included weekly along with replacement of basic supplies, and it was done regularly for the first three weeks. But no one cleaned on day 28. When I asked the next morning, they said it would happen that afternoon. That was a coward lie. I was due to host friends for a homemade dinner on my last night in London, after living there for a year. I complained because the cleaning hadn't happened and essentials like soap and paper were missing. They told me that, from a 'Hotel Management' perspective, I didn't deserve the expected service since I'd stop being a customer in a couple of days. It seemed they'd skipped it to save a few pounds, despite the thousands I'd paid. Shameful. With no cleaning tools in the flat, I'd have had to buy cleaning products in bulk. I changed the plans and took my guests to a restaurant instead. It was less charming, more expensive and shorter, but more practical after that 'Hotel Management decision'. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

We really enjoyed our 11 days at Native Waterloo. The staff were very cordial, and we had no problems. It was great!

Such an amazing place.
