The decor is beautiful and the location is incredible, but I've had better service at less expensive hotels. We spent three nights in a classic room, and a few things took the shine off the stay. We were asked in advance what milk we wanted in the room, but didn't get it. I also requested a bath instead of a shower well before our visit, and nobody acknowledged or fulfilled that request. At checkout, there were unexpected charges, including a library visit that wasn't ours. They also added a "discretionary 5%" for room cleaning and concierge. I've never encountered that, even in the States, where tipping is next level. Having to challenge a bill feels awkward, and this crossed a line for me. That should be opt-in, not opt-out. I'll probably stay somewhere else in the same area next time.

The 5% "discretionary" charge added to the room at checkout really soured things. You have to ask for it to be removed, which puts guests in an awkward spot. The hotel is extremely expensive already, and every restaurant meal had a 12.5% service charge. We mostly dealt with those restaurant staff, so I couldn't see what the extra £40 was for beyond one night of housekeeping and someone opening the door once or twice. It felt like a self-inflicted irritation at checkout. I'd rather see it included in the room price. That was frustrating because almost everything else was excellent. The staff, from the door team to the restaurant, were polite; the location couldn't be better; and the rooms were well appointed with great shower pressure. The restaurant and bar were fantastic for both food and service, and I'd eat there even without staying at the hotel. The amenity spaces were stylish and excellent.

The communal areas, especially the restaurant and bar, have real energy in the evenings. The rooms are comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and quiet despite the central location, which works well for Covent Garden and the West End. The building pairs a beautiful classic façade and refined interiors with a modern edge, while still feeling relaxed rather than stiff. Service is polished without being overbearing. It's not the cheapest nearby, but the experience is part of what you're paying for. A stylish London stay with character.

After we got settled, our stay was wonderful, and Mr. ILKER took such good care of us. He was polite and helpful the whole time. People like him make a real difference at Nomad. Many thanks to him, and we wish him the best. I'd barely checked in when HARSHA made the experience amazing. I hadn't even been up to the room yet, and it was already the best check-in I've ever had. She's a real asset to the hotel. Thank you so much. I'll be back just to see her.
