Notting Hill 2 Bedroom Apartment Off Portobello Road

For €80 per person for four nights, with an apartment for four people, the price and location were hard to beat. It's in a nice neighborhood, and there was a toaster and a small kitchen. But there weren't enough towels, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, and the bathroom stank when we arrived. People seem to have different ideas of what “budget” means, so you'll have to decide for yourself.

Please be warned, this place was absolutely disgusting. The room hadn't been cleaned for a long time and the apartment was a health hazard. There was brown dirt and staining all over the shower room, with hair and gunk choking the shower plug. Pubic hairs were everywhere, even on the sink, and flies came out of the plug and buzzed around the bathroom. The shower curtain was meant to be blue but was completely coated in brown filth. The common areas were a disgrace too. The owner refused a refund despite being given photo and video evidence. I wouldn't let my dog stay here. Avoid this place and owner at all costs. Avoid. It was dirty, and there was even a dirty sock hanging from the ceiling, seriously. The hosts are extremely impolite.

I booked through Vrbo and my instant booking was confirmed, but I got no information at all about how to enter the property. That left me stranded outside at midnight. The helpline could only tell me to pay for somewhere else, which I had to do out of pocket. No apology and no refund confirmed. I wish I'd read the other review first. Avoid at all costs.
