A fun sports pub with plenty of taps, and it handled a busy Saturday night well. We had cod and chips, a bacon cheeseburger with chips, and southern fried chicken strips. The fish came in a huge portion with crispy batter, really good chips, and lots of peas. My partner enjoyed the very meaty burger, made even more filling by the bacon. I'm not much of a burger person, but the skin-on chips with it were nice. The chicken strips were tasty too, with a little salad, and worked well to share alongside drinks. The drinks were good, and I especially liked that cider was on tap. The staff were friendly and polite, the portions generous, and prices reasonable. Only downside was closing around 10 pm on a Saturday, maybe because it's mainly a sports pub. We'll definitely go back. 🍻

The beds were extremely comfortable, and the basic room had everything we needed at a great price. We were there for the Counting Crows gig at Wembley Arena. When we arrived mid-afternoon, the South Africa vs Japan rugby match at Wembley had the place buzzing. After the crowds cleared, we stayed for a few drinks. They weren't serving food because it had been so busy and would be busy again after the match, but we could order pizza in. The location and value were both great. Steve and his team were brilliant, and I can't recommend the place enough.

I wanted to stop for a quick drink in the beer garden with my colleague before driving back to Kent. We'd finished a two-day painting job at a nearby school, and on a lovely day we found this pub on Google. We pulled into the car park in our work van, which said “patrons only”, and we intended to be customers. Before I'd even put the handbrake on, a man came out and questioned us from the start: what were we doing there, were we leaving the vehicle, had we booked and paid for parking? I explained at least four or five times that we just wanted a drink, but he kept asking as if he didn't believe us. He then said we looked like we were going to an event, looked me up and down, and commented on my “a… t-shirt.” I explained it was a Pink Floyd T-shirt, covered in paint from work. He awkwardly said he'd thought it was something else, without apologizing, and stayed aggressive. He also told me not to look at him like he was stupid after we'd repeated for about the fifth time that we wanted a quick drink in the garden. The whole exchange was confrontational and left both of us uncomfortable. I know events nearby can make parking difficult, but there was a way to speak to people who were actually planning to come in and spend money. We felt judged, unwelcome, and a bit intimidated. Once he went back inside, we decided to leave without going into the pub. I can't comment on the pub itself, but the first impression was poor. The car park was pretty empty, and it felt like making money from parking mattered more than welcoming genuine customers. We wondered if two men in a van would have been treated the same way. Later we checked the event schedule: it started at 8 pm, while we arrived around 3 pm, and the act that evening was a nurse, so the questioning about my clothes seemed completely irrelevant. I'd already thought to check the other reviews after this, and it seems my experience with a rude, aggressive man and the focus on parking revenue isn't unusual. People thinking of going should know they may be challenged before they even get out of their vehicle.

I stayed for two nights while meeting family for a funeral, and the staff took good care of us. They were friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and tidy, and housekeeping did a great job. We ate at the hotel and the food was a great standard. The hotel also catered the funeral. Excellent hospitality, thank you for looking after us all.

We had a lovely, quiet room with loads of space and extremely comfortable beds. The shower was big too. Check-in and check-out times worked really well for a concert at Wembley Stadium: we could charge our phones and ourselves before heading out, and didn't have to leave until 11 am. There's no breakfast, which was fine for us. We went to the McDonald's on the way back to Wembley Park Station, and I was told there's also a great cafe a few minutes away that's open Monday to Saturday. We'd definitely stay again for another concert.
