Paddington Court Executive Rooms

The noise in the hallways made it hard to sleep. Children were running and screaming near the elevators late at night and very early in the morning. Our first room also smelled strongly of sewage, and had almost no convenient outlets. The only phone charging spots were far from the beds, there were none in the bathroom, and there was barely counter space for makeup. After we complained, we were moved, but the second room had its own problems: terrible WiFi, an even smaller bathroom, and so little space that opening and closing the door was nearly impossible. Only one outlet worked, so we had to take turns charging our phones. We couldn't open the window to air the room out either. The whole stay was disappointing, especially given the basic comfort and convenience problems in both rooms.

We came back for a second stay because the location is good, but I wouldn't hurry back again. The bed was very comfortable, though the Deluxe Double was the smallest room I've ever seen and I couldn't tell what was deluxe about it. We checked with reception and they moved us up to a Club Room, but the upgrade didn't impress us either. It was freezing and the heating didn't work. They offered breakfast for free because of the room move, but it was vile and the restaurant staff were incredibly rude. The whole hotel feels shabby and needs a full refurbishment. It isn't a four-star place, two at best.

Breakfast was great, with continental choices and a full English fry-up. The hotel is about a five-minute walk from Paddington and near Hyde Park, so the location's good. I agree with other reviews that it isn't a four-star hotel, but I'd definitely stay again.

After booking a horrendous hotel, we left and found this place at the last minute. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay nice. They were kind and helpful, the rooms were clean, and breakfast was spot on. It's in a good location, fairly close to everything. You can rent bikes right outside the door, which we found the easiest way to get around London. Had a really nice stay and will definitely return.
