I appreciated having a kitchenette area where I could store and do a little prep for food. The shared fridges and dishes meant I could make takeaway leftovers last safely. The rooms were clean, and each bunk had lockable storage, with free locks available to borrow. The shared bathrooms were snug but very clean. My room had an en-suite shower, though that isn’t the case in every room. The East End location worked really well, close to Mile End tube and several bus stops. There were a few places to eat and drink within walking distance, and more just a short bus ride away. Staff were friendly and helpful too. This was my first time staying in a hostel. I’d found it while looking for somewhere suitable for people who aren’t there to party, and I’d definitely stay again if I get the chance.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and I slept well in my private room with a shared bathroom. The building felt quite tired and could use some refurbishment, or at least a freshen-up. Still, it did the job.

A clean, well-kept little hostel with friendly staff, and it was fantastic value. The tube, food, and local mosque are all within walking distance. West Bow Mosque was amazing.

I came down from Scotland for one night to see a gig at the Troxy, and the hostel suited me and my non gay friend really well. We had a small problem getting one of the toilets to flush. Luckily he knew plumbing, took apart the flush mechanism, and made a little repair to sort it out. The staff and hostel facilities were lovely. I’d recommend it, five stars.

The place had a lovely welcoming feel, and the staff were super friendly. Ian was especially kind and helpful as a host, which made me comfortable during my stay. Good location, clean rooms, and a really nice experience overall.
