Piccolino Hotel

The main catch in summer is that there are no air-conditioned rooms. They provide a fan, but the windows don't have bug screens. Otherwise, it’s a quiet, relaxed place, and the rooms are clean and modern inside the historic hotel. The location is great for buses and major train lines. Breakfast was mostly eggs, fruit, yogurt, and dry items. We really didn’t like the cold meats.

We spent a week in London as a family, travelling from Spain, and came away very happy with the hotel. The rooms were very clean, the staff polite, and the location great. One of the two rooms we rented for four people was quite small, and we kept bumping into each other in the dining room. Breakfast didn't have much variety, though that makes sense with the number of guests. I'd happily come back.

The hotel is close to Paddington station, and having breakfast and a later checkout was useful. My wife, baby and I had a good stay. Our room was airy and cool, the bed was comfortable, and it had all the amenities we needed. There’s no lift and the place feels a bit cramped, but it’s affordable and pleasant with a great location. I’d recommend it to someone fit enough for the stairs.

The location is good and breakfast was served every day. Rooms are a little small but thoughtfully laid out. There’s no laundry service, and the rooms get a bit too warm.
