The room was compact but thoughtfully laid out, very clean, and quiet and modern in feel. I slept well in the comfortable bed, and everything was simple and efficient. The staff were friendly and helpful too. Point A Hotel near King’s Cross was a very good choice for me, with the station just a short walk away for getting around and visiting the city. I’d recommend it for a comfortable London short stay in a handy location.

Friendly staff and a good option for a short visit. The rooms are small, but have modern equipment and are nicely set up. The road outside is noisy, though it didn’t bother me. The main thing that might bring me back is better bed linen. It felt a bit cheap and nasty, and 100% cotton would make a big difference.

We picked this hotel because it’s so convenient for King’s Cross station. The rooms are basic but clean, and the lower price compared with nearby hotels reflects that. The staff were excellent, and since we booked direct, breakfast was included. No complaints about it. Our one problem was room 318. There was no space at all in front of the bed, much less than our friends had in the same room category at the same price. Getting out meant climbing over the other person. I’d still recommend the hotel, but I’d ask for a different room from the one we were first given.

We stayed for three nights. The first was more or less okay, but the other two were awful. The room was freezing, the bathroom floor was ice-cold, and the wall heater only blew cold air. The manager gave us a small portable heater that worked when left on full power for about an hour. After checking the room temperature, the manager said it was all working properly. But by bedtime the heater was off, and the room got ice-cold again overnight. I didn’t leave it running overnight, and by morning the room was cold again. Nothing was done to properly fix it. The manager wasn’t competent at resolving this and gave us towels to put on the bathroom floor, which was absurd. The twin beds had wheels that were supposedly locked, but they kept moving, so sleeping was difficult. The bathroom was tiny, and I honestly don’t know how a curvy girl is supposed to fit in the shower. Only two electrical outlets in the room worked. There was also constant noise from the wall ventilation, like rats were living inside the walls, which made the stay very uncomfortable. It rained heavily on our last night and water came inside. Because the room was cold and damp, our towels didn’t dry and our jackets were still wet in the morning. We had no choice but to return after our trip to Paris because the reservation couldn’t be cancelled. We got sick after the stay because of the ice-cold rooms, and I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this hotel. I also disliked the self check-in. I had to check myself in while staff stood and watched. I’d much rather staff handled that, especially arriving on a weekend.

The hotel is in a great area, with the underground and main railway station both just a five-minute walk away. It made getting around London really easy. Inside, there’s a bar for relaxing in the evening, plus another bar right next door in the neighboring unit. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. Staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, professional, and ready to help. I really loved the stay and would happily come back.
