The breakfast was next door and had a good range, including fresh fruit. They kept replenishing things, so we rarely had to wait. Outside, there was plenty of parking, and the entrance felt clean and welcoming, with seats if you need to wait. We were two adults meeting up with our wider family at Chessington. The staff were lovely and accommodating, and the five-minute walk to Chessington World of Adventure made this a much more affordable option. We were really glad our room had air-conditioning during the hottest days in May. It was very clean, and the shower was a good size and clean too. You need a key to enter the hallway, which felt like a helpful extra security measure. After running around with the kids all day, having a big TV to relax in bed was great. There were charging points by the bed for our fan, phones, and other devices. Everyone we met on staff was friendly and helpful. I’d absolutely recommend staying here for easy access to the nearby park.

I live a long way away, so I stayed the night before visiting chessington world of adventures. The room was just what I expected and really clean. I was surprised to see other reviews calling their rooms dirty. I had a great stay, and the staff were lovely. Jay, who checked me in, was especially kind and happily got me clean towels and answered my questions.

We arrived around 4 or 5pm and were told the restaurant had stopped taking bookings for that evening, so we had to order from a local takeaway. The hotel staff we spoke to during our stay were always polite and pleasant. My complaint is with premier inn directly after we left, where the customer service was poor. Before our visit, I got an email saying the hotel air-conditioning wasn’t working. I kept the booking because I’d already bought Chessington tickets for those dates and assumed it was a hotel-wide problem everyone would have to put up with. It turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year. Our room was unbearably hot, and the fan only pushed warm air around. We barely slept, which affected the weekend. We had two days of Chessington tickets, and by the second day we were exhausted. Two other rooms booked with our group had working air-conditioning. I contacted premier inn because it didn’t seem fair that we paid the same price without getting the same service or a decent night’s sleep. They referred me to their terms and conditions and didn’t seem to care. I was disappointed with the stay. If the room appliances had worked properly and premier inn had handled my issue better, I’d have given more stars.

We paid £160 and apparently weren’t entitled to a refund. The place was horrendous. Our room smelled like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, with mould in the bathroom and dust and cobwebs around most of it. The attached restaurant was even worse: dead flies and cobwebs, chips that tasted of cooking oil, and brown lettuce. Terrible, dirty hotel.

It’s an ideal place to sleep after a day at the park, and the hotel is only a five-minute walk from the Chessington Park Gates. The recently refurbished rooms are reasonably priced, and check-in was easy. There’s no restaurant in the hotel itself, but an attached pub serves hotel guests only. It shuts at 9pm, so I ended up eating somewhere else. Families often stay here, and noise from them, especially little kids, can be a downside.
