The bar was really nice, and the bed was basic but clean and very comfortable. There wasn't an ironing board in the room. We stayed for a concert at royal Albert hall, and the location was great, near Earl’s Court tube and roughly a 20-minute walk from RAH. I'd definitely recommend it.
Elizabeth was welcoming and incredibly helpful throughout my stay, and her friendly, professional service made a real difference. I had a great time at Premier Inn London Earl's Court. The quiet room and exceptionally comfortable bed made for a good night's sleep, and the location was ideal for exploring the area and getting into central London.
All the staff were really nice and helpful, and they were careful about my prawn allergy. The underground is only about a six-minute walk away, so the location is very good. Our room was bigger than I expected and really good. Breakfast was delicious. We had dinner on two nights, one meal was okay and the other was amazing.
My husband is celiac, and the staff took it seriously at breakfast, washing the cutlery before giving it to him. I got his breakfast and used a separate fork for his bacon to avoid cross-contamination, since I've unfortunately seen people use the sausage tongs for bacon too. We had breakfast both mornings, and it set us up for the day. Dinner on the second night was enjoyable too. I especially loved the juicy burger, and the gluten-free bun was better than one we'd had at a London-based burger place. The hotel is a good base for the national and the science museum, about a ten-minute walk away. To get to the national, walk past the Sainsbury's at the end of the road and keep going straight. There's also a tube nearby, and a Sainsbury's across the road at the bottom of the road if you turn left when heading out. We got a warm welcome and were quickly sorted with a room. The hotel is a bit of a rabbits Warren, but we got used to it and laughed when we took a wrong turn. The standard room had a bath, which is a plus for me and my sensitive skin. With Premier Inn, you generally know what you're getting. All the staff were friendly and helpful with our questions. We'd definitely stay again.
I like and trust Premier Inn, but this place felt like a mess and unloved. There was nobody at reception, so check-in was by machine. Another guest had to explain the confusing route to the sixth floor, which involved two different lifts and a long walkway. In that corridor, takeaway food was all over the floor. I don't know how long it had been there. I told someone in the restaurant, and it was gone the next day, though a bottle was left on the stairs. The room was dated and shabby, with peeling paint in lots of places. The shower didn't work properly and had weak pressure, the TV was broken, and there was no receptionist to ask for help. A generator or something outside the window made a little white noise. There was also a dirty tissue in the bathroom. Overall, it wasn't good. Downstairs felt much fresher and newly done up, and the restaurant was busy. The room was small compared with less central hotels, but the bed was decent. The location is very handy, near Earl's Court on a quiet street. This could be a really good hotel if Premier Inn put some money and care into it.
