Premier Inn London Southwark - Southwark Station

There were loads of places to choose from for dinner in the area. Breakfast across the way was good with plenty of options, though on Tuesday it took a while to replenish the cooked food, and when it arrived it was cold. In the room I slept well, the shower was great, and its power setting worked properly.

The location was a pleasant surprise, just two minutes from a tube station and around 15 minutes from the Southbank. Check-in was efficient, the rooms were comfortable, and it was quiet at night so I slept well. I'd recommend it.

What stood out in a good way was how easy it was to get around from here. Southwark station is an easy walk, and the staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. I’d come back for those reasons, though the room needed more attention: the shower had dried water marks and grime that should’ve been dealt with before check-in. At £200 a night, the basics should be in order. I also wasn’t sure about the rooms around the glass skybridge on the 4th floor. Two rooms appear to be beyond it, with no obvious other escape route, and there seem to be similar rooms on floors below. The notice on the back of the door just gave generic directions to the assembly point, with no guidance for those rooms. The hotel should look into how guests there would get out if something happened near the bridge. Aside from those details, the stay was decent.

I felt safe staying here on my own, which mattered most to me. The room was quiet and impeccably clean, with blackout curtains, a comfortable bed and a great bathroom. It looked recently refurbished and had everything I needed for a short visit. The welcome was friendly and helpful, and there’s a restaurant opposite for meals. They’ll also store your luggage for free. I’ll definitely stay again.
