Getting around from here was easy. Westfield Stratford City is next door, Stratford International and the DLR are across the street, and the other Underground lines are only a short walk through the mall. For a business trip, I found the Plus room spacious, quiet and well equipped for working or relaxing. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The bar was excellent, though breakfast let things down: there were no fresh vegetables or greens, and a few cups weren’t clean. Room cleaning has to be requested at reception, which is fine. Since Plus rooms are on the 9th and 10th floors, though, a more flexible option would be useful. I rarely need a full clean, but a fresh supply of coffee and tea and having the rubbish taken away would be welcome. Maybe a sign on the door handle could work. I also would’ve liked shoe shine and a few basic extra toiletries in the bathroom.

Westfield is attached to the hotel, so shops and places to eat are just a minute away. The Underground and trains are close too, a few minutes’ walk through the mall. I used Westfield for most of my meals because I wanted to try some foods I’d missed, though I’ve had good food at other Premier Inn hotels before. I stayed for a few days while visiting the area for a graduation. They were helpful when I asked for an iron, and the room had lots of useful touches for getting ready early that morning. The lighted closet and the bathroom dimmer, which kept the light from being too harsh, were especially handy. The lit mirror worked well for makeup and hair, and I really liked the art on the wall. My room on the 10th floor had a lovely view, and the fridge was convenient. It was clearly well maintained. The amber and oud soap was lovely, and the towels smelled clean, with a warm, woody, spicy scent I couldn’t quite identify. It made showering a treat.

Breakfast was amazing, and Viktor’s warm welcome really made my morning. He was so good with customers, big shout out to him 🫶🏼. The hotel was lovely and clean, and the bar had a stunning atmosphere. I had an amazing stay, and it was so close to West Ham.

The dining room, lounge and bar shared a bright, spacious area with floor-to-ceiling windows. It was clean, well organised and ran efficiently, with the three or four staff members I saw on duty. The other guests were pleasant and friendly, perhaps helped by the Christmas Eve atmosphere and the general feeling of bonhomie. My room was warm, spotless, tidy and fresh smelling. I slept peacefully in the comfortable bed, and appreciated the crisp linen and bath towels, the deep bathtub, the large TV with a pristine remote, and the excellent Wi-Fi. The continental breakfast was more than adequate, with plenty of fresh options. Booking online or by phone was simple, and I appreciated being able to skip reception on arrival. Thank you to Omar Mahmoud. I was impressed and will definitely return.

The room was clean and had no faults, and I enjoyed the evening meal, which arrived quickly. Breakfast was alright, though I’ve had better. The one-night price felt a bit steep, but it was a Saturday. The location works well for Westfield Shopping Centre and Stratford’s train stations, and the storage lockers were handy. Before I arrived, they encouraged me to use the check-in machines, but they weren’t working, so I had to queue at reception. The staff could have been more welcoming and friendly. Still, I’ll definitely stay again.
