After an early start and a long, hot day on site, Molly and Yuri were such a welcome sight. They were upbeat, enthusiastic and made me feel like a guest, not just someone checking in. Three weeks into my stay I also met Ruchika, another friendly face from Molly’s team. I’ve stayed at quite a few Premier Inns when work takes me away, and this team and the rooms are great. If only they were all this good. The WiFi is the one letdown. The pub next door has about three times the download speed, so I’ve ended up getting a pint and a meal there while downloading a film.
For work, I’ve been staying at Premier Inn Twickenham Stadium for several weeks, and it’s one of the best Premier Inns I’ve tried. The location suits my job, and the rooms are spacious and consistently very clean. Yuri is there at reception each evening, greeting customers with a smile and making the stay that bit nicer. I’d absolutely keep coming back.
We booked this stay for our Son’s birthday weekend, but it turned into a nightmare. When we arrived on Saturday 28th March at 11.30am, before the 2pm check-in, reception told us to leave our luggage in the car. Nobody warned us that four cars had been broken into in the hotel car park over the previous six months. We went into London and came back at 10.30pm to find the rear window smashed, with both my wife’s and my suitcases gone. The car had been parked right outside the hotel entrance, and one case contained important medication. The receptionist showed little concern and eventually handed us a dustpan and brush to clear glass from the car park. My wife had to beg for toiletries to get us through the night. He later said the woman on reception should have offered to take our bags inside, as that was hotel policy. The next morning, we also discovered we’d been charged for an extra night because the night receptionist had checked us in twice, despite the booking being prepaid. The manager was understanding and apologised on Monday morning for both the lack of empathy and the extra charge. An autoglass engineer replacing our window said he’d recently been at the same car park to replace another window, and a second car was broken into while he was there. This place seems to be a real hotspot for break-ins. The police have since closed the case, even though CCTV captured the incident, because they couldn’t get a clear image of the suspect. We won’t be back any time soon.
Yuri and Molly were lovely when I arrived, really kind and efficient getting me checked in. The room I walked into was fresh, spotless and looked stunning. The staff were just as pleasant whenever I came back in during the day.
I stay in the Premier Plus rooms for overnight work, and they’re consistently tidy, clean and comfortable. The location works perfectly for my job, so I’ll keep using it. Staff are proactive and pleasant, and Yuri at reception is always helpful and easy to find when needed. The food at Winning Post next door is excellent too, always freshly cooked. Thanks.
