Q Kensington Two Apartments

For a short visit to London, the serviced apartments worked really well for us. I’ve stayed in London many times at different price levels, and these are among the best places I’ve booked. The kitchenette was thoughtfully equipped, the bathrooms were modern, and everything was spotless in a nice area. The rooms are small, as is common in London, but they’re just right for a couple or a short trip. We’d love to return.

We were in apartment 10 on the first floor. A door between the stairwell and apartments 9 and 10 kept the noise from people passing from bothering us. The studio itself was pleasant, very clean, and had everything we needed. Earl's Court station is at the end of the street, with a direct trip to the train station taking under half an hour. One small drawback, if you’re a light sleeper, is that the refrigerator can be noisy at night.

The location made getting around London easy, with the metro and bus nearby, so it was a great base for exploring. We stayed at StayPrime Kensington Serviced Apartments on a city trip and were pleasantly surprised. Our room was spacious and practical, at the back between the ground and first floors, and very quiet. We slept really well even with the window open. Comfortable, peaceful, and definitely a good pick for a city break.

Terrible. We couldn’t make it to London because I ruptured my Achilles tendon the night before. We asked to move the stay, not for a refund, but the hotel refused, saying Booking.com wouldn’t allow it so close to the date. Booking.com’s help center told me they could move it, or refund us, and contacted the hotel, but the hotel still wouldn’t help. They seem to care only about taking the money, even after we provided a medical certificate showing I couldn’t travel. One star only because zero isn’t an option.
