Rahal Hotel Hackney London

The location is great, but finding the entrance took me about 30 minutes. There’s no visible hotel sign, and the doorway is squeezed between two shops, so I ended up walking around the area trying to spot it. It’s a budget place for people who just need somewhere to crash. The shared kitchen is well appointed, and the shared bathroom is good. I gave service three stars because after booking through trip.com, the hotel never sent instructions for getting in. I needed three security codes to enter my room and had no message from management. The trip.com email didn’t include the hotel’s phone number either. I got anxious, had to search online for the number, and call to get the codes. That’s why I rated it three stars instead of five.

The place is clean and well equipped with a kitchen, though it could be presented better. It’s a simple, well located hotel with 10 rooms on the first and second floors, reached by stairs, and shared bathrooms. There’s no staff on site. You need three separate codes for the outside door, the first-floor door, and your room. Some guests had trouble because they hadn’t received the necessary information by email. The general cleanliness was excellent.

For the price, it’s great. The bedrooms and WC are neat and tidy, and there’s a shared kitchen. I’ll definitely stay again. pappa jhons pizza opposite is lovely, and the kebab shop next door is delicious too.

The worst online booking experience I’ve ever had. Absolutely avoid this company.
