Even though it's in a motorway service area, the hotel has its own bar and restaurant. I tried both and was pleased with them. My room was lovely, clean and tidy, and the polite, friendly staff were very helpful. I loved my stay.

We had a very disappointing stay at the Ramada London North and won't return or recommend it. We've had good experiences at other Ramada hotels, which made this one an even bigger letdown. There were serious cleanliness and safety problems. Broken glass was embedded in the carpet and got caught in our son's foot. Used broken glass and litter had also been left outside the bedroom door (see photo). There was mould in the wall corners beside where our son's bed had been placed on the floor. The bathroom was in poor condition, with mould in several areas (see photos), visible dirt and dust. The shower curtain smelled strongly of damp and mould and clearly needed replacing. A chipped counter had a sharp exposed edge, and a sharp piece of metal stuck out from the side of the bath panel. The buffet breakfast was good and plentiful, but the coffee was poor. Reception service was disappointing too. The staff member checking guests in seemed disengaged and more interested in her phone. She interacted in a robotic way, as though she just wanted to rush through the process and found questions a headache.

I would stay again mainly for the location and because it's outside the ULEZ. If the ULEZ boundary changes, I doubt I'd come back. There was plenty of parking when we visited, though the hotel seemed quiet. Coming from the southbound side, it was confusing to find the way in, while the northbound approach was fine. The rest of the hotel was better than I expected from the reviews. My room was clean and acceptable, but tired and clearly past its best. Ramada should start by replacing the carpet.

The stay was very disappointing, and I'd like my money back. I've never stayed at a Ramada before. It has a high-class name but delivered nothing. I expect you won't reply to this survey, so I'll share my thoughts on social media, which is a powerful tool. I asked the young Pakistani man at reception for a higher floor and a room away from a corridor door. My room ended up beside a door that slammed hard. The only other room they had was room 150, I think. It had an adjoining door, and after 7 p.m. I could hear football very clearly through it, as well as a man coughing. I called reception and asked them to ask him to turn down his TV. They said they'd do it right away, but it wasn't done. I called again later and couldn't believe they wouldn't answer. I don't think they were busy. The room was cold. The heating barely worked, and neither did the electric heater I plugged in. The ground-floor corridor outside had no heating at all. There were no spoons with the coffee cups, one cup had a big black mark inside, and the kettle was full of old water that looked as if it had been sitting there a while, so I didn't use it. I couldn't get the plastic bath plug out because it had no pull cord, and the rusty push-release sink plug wouldn't release. After a hard day's work I like a pint of draft beer, but they had no draft beer at all. They could only sell me expensive half-pint bottles, and drinking those would have cost a fortune. The young woman behind the bar also needs English lessons, honestly. I thought people from other countries needed to speak correct English to get a work permit in England. It doesn't seem to be England anymore.

A handy one-night stopover that saved me a trip into London. It's just off the motorway, with free parking, and works well for EV drivers. The staff were really friendly and breakfast was good. I'll use it again.
