Rockwell East

I was a bit anxious about staying here after reading the reviews. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable for my one night. I could hear the tracks around 5am, but to me it was like white noise. I guess it depends what you're used to and whether you're a light sleeper. Breakfast was the letdown. It felt chaotic, there wasn't a proper queue area, the milk was tucked away in a teapot 🫖, and there weren't enough seats. The food was mediocre, though the coffee was good. With more time, I'd have skipped the hotel breakfast and gone somewhere else.

We were very comfortable during our stay. The hotel is conveniently located, and the rooms are cosy and well maintained. Ms. Regent and Mr. Tee were professional and attentive, and we really appreciated their help with anything that came up.

Rockwell East has become our favourite place to stay for our yearly London shopping trip. It was our second visit, and just as good as the first. Nas at reception recognised us from last year and made us feel so welcome. He was incredibly helpful. The free breakfast was a nice bonus this time, a small but tasty buffet with cooked options, pastries, ham, cheese, juice, tea and coffee. It was lovely not to have to cook in the morning. Our one-bedroom apartment was spotless and had everything we needed: a comfortable bed, cosy bedding, good temperature control and a well-equipped kitchen for self-catering. There were fluffy towels, bathrobes and basic but nice toiletries in the bathroom. It's clean, comfortable, well located and great value. Highly recommended!

The rooms are nice and spacious, but the breakfast is very basic, and you have to ask for simple things like cups or cutlery. I was really shocked that the rooms were only cleaned every two days. At £120 a night, that isn't acceptable.
