The room was a good size and very clean, though a bit dated. The bathroom was clean as well, but could have done with a refurb a few years ago, and the shower wasn't very powerful. I had the last available room on the top floor of a four or five-storey building, and there's no lift. For a cheap room, you can't complain. One of the better hotels I've stayed at near Victoria. I was only here for one night. The receptionist was very helpful, and checking in was easy.

The location was pretty good, and checking in and out was quick and easy. Breakfast was included, but I didn't get up in time to try it, so I can't comment on it. I'd booked an en suite double room for my girlfriend and me. The bedroom was about 3m squared and the bathroom around 1.5m, so both were quite small. It was cosy if you don't mind tight spaces. I had a decent stay, with everything I needed and nothing to complain about.

Since it’s in a townhouse, space is tight, and you’ll need to carry your bags because there’s no lift. The rooms are very basic, with ordinary beds, blankets, and not much room. Housekeeping was fine, with towels, soap, and a bathroom, but nothing special. Breakfast was cheap and simple, usually cereal or bread with butter. It works if you’re after a very low-cost stay; otherwise, I’d look elsewhere.

We checked the bedding and found a wet patch under the sheets that turned out to be urine. We complained straight away, got a full refund, and left as quickly as we could. The room was a tiny box with three beds crammed in, and the en-suite was like a cupboard with a plastic floor and the toilet practically beneath the shower. It was outrageously expensive for a place in that state. I wish I could give it zero stars. Do not stay here.

We paid an extra £20 to move to a room with its own bathroom and toilet for two nights, but flushing sent water onto the floor, and the bathroom was so tiny it was impossible to avoid. Before that, we’d been put in a basement room booked for two, with very poor air, so we had to open the windows and the room got cold. There was no toilet or bathroom there. The shared facilities were four floors up on the third floor, which we hadn’t been told before check-in, and the toilets didn’t work. Reception staff were difficult to talk to and didn’t listen to our complaints about them. We would have given zero stars or less. I strongly advise people against booking here if they want to avoid the same experience.
