On the first night, my daughters found a serious bedbug infestation. After they told the accommodation, my daughter was offered a different room, but that one also had bedbugs. They couldn't stay and had to leave in the night, paying for somewhere else themselves. I reported it to Booking.com right away, but the offer was only €10 in compensation. That's nowhere near enough for the health risks, the disruption to my trip, the extra costs, or the fact that my kids couldn't use the accommodation I'd paid for. We'll definitely report this to the Environmental Health Department of the local London Borough Council.

The place at "171" is a guesthouse with private rooms, though from outside I almost thought it was someone's home. The facilities are pretty poor for the price, and there was even mold on the refrigerator. The information below is based on the photos: "9" next door is the owner (landlord), who is usually around. A set of keys for the front and room doors is left under the mat outside. Most of the front door locks are broken and hard to open, so knock on the landlord's door for help.

They moved us to a different room at the last minute, farther away and in disgusting shape. There were food scraps on the walls, things were broken, and the place smelled strongly of rot. It's cheap, but look somewhere else. Avoid it.
