We never even got to stay, and the lack of communication left us stranded. I messaged about payment a month beforehand and got no reply, then called several times and sent more messages on the day, with no answer about how to get in. Different booking sites also gave different room counts. It took six hours to reach Booking.com, but they eventually made sure I wouldn't be charged. The only half decent part was that they covered some of the cost of the replacement place we had to book at the last minute, which cost three times what we'd planned to spend. It was a summer weekend in London, so we were lucky we tried to arrive early enough to find somewhere else. The place was in a rough area, about an hour's transit from central London, and our next booked location was another hour and a half away. This feels like a scam, and I doubt anyone actually stays here. The glowing reviews must be from friends or people in on it, trying to take money from unfortunate guests. Save your time, energy, and money, and don't book here.

We'd had the booking for months, but they only contacted me three days before our weekend stay to say there were no rooms left and that I should cancel. By then most rooms in London were taken, so we had to pay a lot more elsewhere. They could have told us much sooner. Avoid them if you need somewhere reliable that won't cancel at the last minute.

My girlfriend and I never got to stay, so I can't really review the place itself. At the last minute, he sent us a shady message saying he could no longer accommodate us, without giving a good reason. Then he had the nerve to suggest we should cancel the booking ourselves, so he could keep his hands clean. Avoid this guy at any cost, and read the other negative reviews too.

We booked A A Thamesmead a month ahead in November, then were told less than a day before check-in that emergency maintenance meant the booking had to be cancelled. It was stressful for my family, and finding somewhere else so late was expensive. I understand that maintenance may really be needed, but giving customers less than a day's notice is highly unprofessional. I'd sent several questions days earlier and got no answers either. Looking at other reviews, I realized this had happened to many people before. Be aware of the risks before booking, however attractive the price seems.
