I was walking beside the riverfront this evening and saw a man in a high vis jacket near the front of the property. He seemed to be muttering, or maybe talking on the phone. He went onto the grounds and locked a gate, so I assumed he was a guard closing up and didn’t think more of it. I sat by some broken fencing at the edge of the property to enjoy a quiet moment by the river. A fence post had come loose from the concrete. The security guard came straight over and asked, "excuse me sir, am I to conclude that you are the one who caused this damage?" I said, "no, obviously not". He kept insisting I’d done it. I told him he was being unreasonable and that he could simply ask me to move if that was what he wanted. I moved about 20 yards down the path, but he was still unhappy and kept harassing me from the property. I wished him a nice day, which seemed to encourage him. I can only assume he wanted to provoke me. He’d watched me sit down, and couldn’t reasonably have thought I’d pulled a steel post out of concrete. He’d just patrolled the area and must have known the damage was there already. Accusing me in bad faith of a crime is unlawful, and continuing to harass me after I’d moved was unprofessional. I said I’d complain. He laughed and said, "So? Who cares?", then, "Who do I complain to about you?" That made no sense and seemed strangely vindictive. There was a CCTV camera behind him that would have caught both the damage and his harassment, but he clearly didn’t care. If this happens again, I’ll notify the police. The establishment must be content to hire utter cretins who enjoy harassing pedestrians on an otherwise beautiful Summer evening. These aren’t the kind of people you want near where you live. Clearly bad news, I suggest you avoid.

The Concierge staff are extremely polite and always go out of their way to help, despite what the fool from the first review said. Perhaps Mr 'wash -in - tub,' didn’t think about approaching them with tact and respect. Launderette anyone!

I’ve just moved out after seven weeks here, paying a BOMB per night, so I think I can give fair feedback. The property’s in a great location near the railway station, and the set-up itself isn’t bad. What got to me most was the attitude of the leasing agency and landlord. I even told my company’s relocation adviser to make sure nobody else from my company stays here. From the first week I reported bad smells in the corridors, the apartment, and the water from both the kitchen and bathroom taps. The water had a distinct copper smell and taste. The only response was an air freshener, which ran out after 20 days. When I asked for another refill, I was told the landlord wouldn’t pay for one. I wasn’t asking for a luxury, just some help with the smells throughout the place. Parking was very tight, and I assume other spaces were reserved for other apartments. Apartments 1-15 aren’t looked after by local management. Whenever I went to the concierge for help, I got a tight upper lip and no help at all. The washing machine broke one weekend, and with no one available to help, my wife had to wash clothes sitting in the bathtub. We both work and couldn’t wait until the weekdays for someone to turn up. There was also a problem with the bathtub water heater. Whenever I wanted a hot bath, white flakes floated in the water. I reported it to the leasing agency, but despite their assurances, nothing changed. It felt as if the agency and landlord stopped caring once they had the rental. I’d recently moved from another country and had a hundred other things to deal with on top of the apartment problems. The weekly cleaning, done every Tuesday, wasn’t up to scratch any of the weeks. I saw the cleaners working once, rushing through the job. The kitchen floor stayed sticky, and after a while I got fed up reporting issues. If I’d known more about the area and had a choice, I’d have left after the first month.
