The breakfast was the one letdown. There were four cereals to choose from, one boiled egg each, and bread to toast, but no cold juice or pastries. I’d happily pay extra for more choice. Cleaning could also do with attention on the dusty vents, skirting, and picture rails, though everything else was great. I only stayed one night while going to a show at the Royal Albert Hall. The welcome at reception was warm, and everything was explained. I was out before dinner, so didn’t get to try it. My single room was spacious, with a fridge that was a bonus in the heat for keeping drinks cool. There were plenty of clean showers and toilets. My room was at the back on the fourth floor, very quiet, and I didn’t hear other guests. The pillows were good, and in the heat I used just the duvet cover. It’s a great price and location, with everything you might need on the little high street. I felt safe in the area even late at night, and access to the hostel and rooms was by card. I’d definitely stay again.

The place is right in the heart of the city, a prime location within walking distance of Hyde Park. Rent is a little higher because it’s central, but meals are included, so I can’t complain. The service is really good, regular cleaning is provided, and the basic amenities are there. It’s a very good place to stay.

I came planning to stay two or three months, but ended up spending about five at Sandeman-Allen House. It’s a brilliant hostel and easily the best value for money in London. Manager Jacob was very accommodating, and Darren at reception is a top bloke. I met some great people and will definitely keep in touch with many of them. Thanks for having me. Sam

We arrived to find the rooms spacious, clean, and already well organized. The staff were helpful and answered all our questions, and breakfast was good. Check-in is at 2pm and checkout by 10:00am. Towels are provided, and there’s a lift and a gym. A happy stay with amazing amenities for a decent price.

Sandeman Allen made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The staff were so welcoming and went out of their way to help throughout our visit. Toilets and showers were spotless, which I really appreciated, and the accommodation was comfortable and well maintained for either a short or long stay. Room service was prompt and professional, and there were plenty of tasty food options. The gym was a handy bonus, and the central location makes it easy for tourists to explore London. With its friendly team and great facilities, it’s a top choice. Highly recommended!
