Savera Hotel South Ruislip

The Brew House was a highlight for us, especially the gourmet coffees, and breakfast was big. There are lots of dining choices in this busy, beautiful classic hotel, with plenty of amenities too. Our room was clean and spacious, and the location was fantastic. We had a great experience.

The rooms felt extremely dated and poorly looked after, more neglected than full of character. Within hours of arriving, I had what seemed like bites, which immediately made me worry about bed bugs or mites and left me very uncomfortable. Reception didn’t make much of an impression either. The staff seemed inattentive and short on basic courtesy, and my concerns weren’t handled professionally. I also find it worrying that many positive reviews don’t seem to match what I experienced. The stay was unsettling and unacceptable. I wouldn’t return or recommend Savera Hotel.

I’ve stayed at the Savera four times and it’s never let me down. It’s warm, welcoming, and spotlessly clean. The rooms are a little old fashioned, but they have a cosy charm, and the staff are polite, professional, and always ready to help. The hotel is right next to the Central Line, with Central London about 30 mins away, and Westfield London takes 15 mins. There’s a good cinema in Ruislip, a 10 min walk away, plus plenty of great restaurants for all tastes. Lebo serves fab Lebanese food, and the staff there are brilliant. You’ll also find familiar high street cafes and retailers nearby. I eat at the hotel sometimes. They do breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the food is beautifully cooked and really tasty. The spaghetti bolognese is amazing. Chef and the team, including Csila, go the extra mile to make it an experience you’ll enjoy.

We had a dozen of us for a hen-do on a Saturday at the end of November, and the day went off a treat. Sachin was a great help, and Charlotte supported us too. We used the meeting room, settled the layout and how we’d use it with Sachin, and it worked perfectly. The buffet lunch was really tasty, with a good range of items for everyone to choose from and graze on through most of the afternoon. Thanks to Samar and Sachin for making the event perfect.
