Securematics Executive Studio Apartments

A terrible experience, and I’ll never book again. The host accepted a payment of over £200 through booking .com for one overpriced night, but didn’t make sure we could actually stay securely. When I arrived with my 20 month old son, he refused us entry. He said the deposit hadn’t been paid and my ID hadn’t been secured. I’ve stayed in places everywhere and never had this happen before. Since he couldn’t speak to my partner, who booked the accommodation and was at a conference until 8pm before joining us later, I don’t understand why he couldn’t take the deposit and ID from me. He was completely unhelpful and ignorant of our situation. I was extremely angry, to put it mildly. What a joke of a host. If this were Airbnb, he’d never reach any kind of superhost status. He has no clue. The area is run down, like many parts of London these days. The accommodation was seriously difficult to find, and parking was nonexistent. In the end, I took my son and went home. I’ll never use or recommend this overpriced apartment. It deserves zero stars. I hope this warns other families so they don’t go through the same thing. I don’t care what response or excuse the business gives. This is factual and honest. End of story.
