The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the food was excellent. The hospitality was nice too. The hotel is centrally located, very close to London bridge, with easy access to transport. The views from the rooms were stunning.

I enjoyed spending a couple of bourse up on the rooftop, looking out across the city. The rooms are large for this part of downtown, and the hotel is lovely and centrally located. You won't regret staying here. One of the best hotels around.

For my birthday, I had afternoon tea at the Shangri-La The Shard, and it was a lovely way to celebrate. The setting is beautiful, the service was nice, and the views over London Bridge were stunning. There are a few afternoon tea choices. We picked one with unlimited tea and coffee, tried a few different teas, and everything was nicely presented and tasted good. A window seat costs extra, but I'd recommend booking one if you want the best view. It made the occasion feel even more special. The views are unforgettable.

The hotel is beautiful, with amazing views, and the staff kept checking that everything was okay. You enter through security, then go up to the 35th floor to reach the hotel and check in. Room service was a highlight for me, especially the really good lobster roll. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

The buffet was a letdown for a hotel at this price and level. There wasn't much choice, the eggs were overcooked, the salmon was very poor quality, and the fruit wasn't fresh. Service was poor throughout, and the staff didn't seem properly trained. The property no longer feels as elegant or classy as you'd expect. Even more modest brands like Ibis provide more consistent service. If you're thinking about staying at Shangri-La, don't expect the prestige the name usually suggests. This was a very disappointing experience.
