Simply Rooms & Suites

I spent four nights in ground-floor room number 3, a windowless cubicle facing a wall. Air came in through an opening above what looked like a fake window. I find it scandalous that a guesthouse like this is rated 4 stars. There’s no night porter, only a security guard. The bathroom had no window either, and its vent was dirty and noisy. A place to forget. They also charged me £50 for checking in two hours early and asking for a two-hour late checkout for my daughter, who had a fever. Mrs Justina really isn’t suited to dealing with the public. There was zero customer care.

The staff were really nice, and having a launderette nearby was handy. We stayed for 6 nights. The room was clean and tidy, with soap, shampoo, a hairdryer, an iron and an ironing board. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, but putting the black sheet over the mattress helped. The only issue was the location: I needed to be in Hammersmith, and that’s how it was listed on booking.com, but the hotel is actually in west Kensington. The little buttons for the side lights are beside the lights themselves.

It’s only a 2 min walk to the bus stop, and the price is great for the location. I’d been put off by the negative reviews at first, but my room was clean and comfy, and the staff were super nice. Definitely my go to place when I’m in London!!!!!

The room didn’t look like the online photos, and it smelled awful. There were mosquitoes, the floor was cracking, the bed was in very poor condition, and the water heater looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. I checked into Simply Rooms & Suites and was completely disappointed. I contacted the staff right away, but they were rude and refused to refund me even though I couldn’t stay. The property felt unmaintained and unhygienic, and I found it totally misleading. I strongly advise people to avoid it, since it wasn’t worth the price or hassle.
