Sloane Square Hotel

It’s easy to walk to everything from here, and the room was great and super cozy for a holiday. For a business trip, though, I wouldn’t choose this hotel. The guest Wi-Fi didn’t work, and even the staff Wi-Fi was only okay. The phone signal was poor in my room, maybe because of where it was. If you need a conference call, try the lobby, where the connection was somehow better.

Reception staff welcomed us warmly, and they stored our cases while we waited for the room. The location is spot on for Sloane Square and Cadogan Hall, but I was disappointed by the rest of the stay and doubt I’d return or recommend it. Our small double felt so cramped that two adults could barely manage with our cases, even though they were small. It seemed suited to one person. There was no view at all because the windows were shuttered. The tiny bathroom had nowhere to put anything and looked like it needed a refresh. We didn’t make tea or coffee because there wasn’t room to move around. For the hotel’s standing and prices, I also thought it was poor not to have complimentary water. Breakfast was in a small lounge, with a limited self-service continental selection and no cooked option. The staff there were very pleasant.

The staff were great, especially Cole, Roe and Ishwar. The Sloane Square hotel is in an amazing spot, really close to the Underground. We enjoyed our stay and I’d come back.

Cole at reception was a real standout, so welcoming and attentive during our stay. The hotel is in a great location, though the room decor is old and the bathroom was grubby. It needs an upgrade.
