We arrived at our Booking.com apartment around 1 a.m. to find it occupied by other Airbnb guests. From then until nearly 5 a.m., we were left stranded, even though we had paid in full. There was nobody on site to contact, and the property never answered our calls or messages. Booking.com confirmed we were entitled to relocation, but after more than 45 minutes on hold and another three hours without a real solution, we had to find a hotel ourselves, call to secure a room, and pay for taxis and the new stay. We got there around 5 a.m. Booking.com has still refused to reimburse our transport costs. The help was extremely slow and unhelpful in an urgent late-night situation. Never again, Piccadilly Circus Sleep 6 Central London VR14 or Booking.com “services”.

The main difficulty was finding the place. Once there, it was roomy enough for four adults, clean, and had a washer-dryer and a tiny refrigerator. Everything in the building that we used worked, and we had no issues. It’s right in the middle of the nightlife, so noise-sensitive guests might want somewhere else. We slept without any trouble.

The place was absolutely disgusting, and I want a refund. The lifts barely worked properly, the toilet was broken despite being promised a repair, and the windows wouldn’t open during the late April heatwave. Don’t book 40 Veron house Piccadilly circus. It’s a trash heap.

It’s hard to imagine staying anywhere more central. From the apartment, you can see the theatres and restaurants of Soho, and the place itself is spacious, clean and nice. There’s bound to be some traffic and activity noise in a location like this. We’d like to come back 😉
