The room was clean and comfortable, with fresh bed linen, and everything seemed well maintained. Staff were so friendly and helpful throughout. It’s easy to get around London from here, with major Underground stations only a short walk away. I had a great stay and would happily recommend the hotel and stay again.
Getting around was easy, with the tube and buses nearby, and plenty of cafés and restaurants in the area. It still felt really safe. There was complimentary coffee and filtered water too. The room and bathroom were private and cleaned regularly. From the lovely lobby to the welcoming host, it all felt like home. Thanks again to Eyaz and the whole team for the wonderful hospitality. I look forward to staying here next time I’m in London.
The room was clean and well looked after, with a nice view and comfortable beds. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The lobby feels cosy and has free tea and coffee, and the staff there were kind and understanding. It’s also a handy base for tourists, with quick access to the metro and Oxford Street a short walk away.
After checking out, I realized I’d left an expensive personal item in my room. I contacted the Somerset Hotel, and they secured it right away, packaged it, and sent it to my home address within the hour at no charge. That kind of care and integrity gave me real peace of mind even after I’d left. My stay at the Somerset Hotel on Baker Street was seamless from arrival. The rooms are spacious, a rare comfort in such a central London spot, and the whole staff were consistently friendly, professional, and reliable. I’d recommend it highly to business and leisure travelers looking for a prime location, roomy accommodation, and excellent service.
We nearly cancelled after checking the Google reviews once we’d booked. We usually avoid places below three stars, and the 2012 photos made this look like a hotel from a horror movie. Recent reviews suggested it had new owners, and the price compared well with other hotels nearby. The newer photos looked promising, though we were still wary of hotels using AI to make rooms look better. When we arrived around 7am, Iyaz, the manager, kindly let us in to rest in the lobby, plan our day, and leave our bags. We helped ourselves to free tea and coffee, which was a godsend for saving money on an expensive London holiday. The building has seen better days, especially the carpet, and there’s no elevator. But room 316 looked exactly like the recent photos, no AI nonsense, and I was happy to climb a few flights for the price. We stayed eight nights, and the rooms were serviced every two nights. The bathroom had soap, shampoo, and body wash, which also helped us save. Iyaz knew his stuff, answered all our questions, gave us a paper map with landmarks and routes marked on the first day, and suggested apps for local offers. And then there’s Mona, the beautiful, affectionate house cat. We spent nearly every evening having coffee with her in the lobby. It was our first trip to the UK, and we can’t wait to come back here.
