Southwark Residences by Aeria Apartments

There were six of us, three couples, but only four comfortable chairs in the living area and five at the dining table. It wasn't an issue for us, though it could be awkward if you're planning to eat in. On the plus side, my daughter left a piece of jewellery behind, and guest services found it and let her know. That was reassuring, since things don't always get found when they're left behind. The apartment was modern, roomy, spotless and reasonably priced. It's easy to walk to the West End over Southwark Bridge, and Borough Market, restaurants and bars are close by.

We had to cancel and find somewhere else to stay with only two days' notice, in the area we needed. We'd booked in September for January, and they'd taken full payment the weekend before contacting us three days before arrival to say our apartment would be in another part of London. The first person I spoke to blamed someone booking the same apartment online at the same time, even though we'd booked five months earlier. Someone else said housekeeping had found an issue and they wanted to ensure a good stay, but couldn't explain further. Check Tripadvisor and you'll see reports of bookings being moved between their locations at short notice. If location matters, don't book. Our bad experience seems common.

The flat was lovely, modern, clean and elegant, with all the appliances and dishes we needed. The location in the heart of London was superb, a short walk from London and Tower bridges, with nice shops and restaurants around. My family and I had a really pleasant stay at the Southwark by Q Apartments. Everything was perfect, and I'd definitely stay again.

We had a carefree stay in London and loved apartment 5. It was roomy and comfortable for six people, three couples, with three stores within walking distance. Getting in with the code system was easy. The seating area is a little small, though, good for four but not really six.
