Spacious Loft In Hackney

The room was tiny, but clean and perfectly usable. The location is right on Hackney High Street, which was great. Booking.com had moved our booking after getting the original location wrong, and Raja was lovely and helpful throughout our stay.

There were mice everywhere, so we left after just three days. We’d booked and paid for eight nights, but couldn’t stay there with that going on.

The room was clean and came with towels, and the manager was welcoming when we arrived. He even carried my suitcase up, then changed our booking from a double and a single to three single beds, which suited us better. It was a small room, and the bathroom was cramped, with little space around the shower, sink and toilet. There’s a small car park on site. The area felt deprived, with a hostel near the front and a mind charity building behind. People in a separate building made a lot of noise at night.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and I’d stay here again. We were in town for a gig at London stadium, and the basic room did what we needed for the night. There wasn’t tea or coffee in the room, though you could get some downstairs in the foyer.
