Staunton Hotel

The room is small but has the basics, including a kettle, iron, and hairdryer. There aren’t many outlets, so bring a multi-plug adapter if you have several devices. Reception doesn’t have UK adapters, so you’ll need to buy one if you forget. The bathroom was perfect and had everything I needed, and the room was very well soundproofed for such a central spot. I felt comfortable during my stay. It’s in a quiet part of London, with bars, pubs, and cafés nearby, plus a metro station and buses for getting into the city centre. The hotel is lovely, and the quality for the price is quite good, though London is expensive as expected. Breakfast could be better: there aren’t many choices, and it isn’t a buffet. Instead, there’s a short menu of dishes.

The full English breakfast was delicious, and we’d happily stay again on our next visit to London. The Staunton was lovely and clean, with friendly, helpful staff. We had a brilliant couple of days, and it was an ideal location for our visit.

There was a generous breakfast, and the staff were cheerful and supportive. The hotel is nice and cozy, in a Victorian-style building right in the heart of the tourist area. It’s very close to the British Museum, with bus stops and metro stations nearby.

We asked to cancel nearly a month before our stay because of a medical issue, but they wouldn't refund us. I understand there are booking terms, though it was disappointing that they wouldn't make an exception for the circumstances. I'd look at nearby hotels with more reasonable policies.
