Studio With Balcony in Hill House

I've lived at Hill House for nearly two years, and the cooker hood has never properly removed smoke or cooking smells. I didn't report it at first and just put up with it. Recently, Tida from Vonder and building management emailed residents several times asking them to report hood problems, saying someone would come to inspect and repair them. I was away, so they arranged an engineer to visit my flat. After checking it, he said the hood was too small, outdated, and unable to extract fumes properly, and couldn't be repaired. Instead of replacing it, I got an invoice for giving “false information.”😂 Reporting that it wasn't working properly wasn't false. It's the landlord's job to investigate maintenance issues and find the cause. I'm not a technician, and tenants shouldn't have to diagnose whether something is faulty, badly designed, or outdated. That's why professionals inspect it. If tenants are charged whenever an engineer finds a system old or inadequate rather than repairable, that should be explained from the start. Since Tida joined Vonder in property management, the service seems to have declined. David used to inspect issues first and arrange the right contractor if needed, which was efficient and resident-focused. More recently, I've had problems with both Wi-Fi and maintenance requests, and this latest situation has been very disappointing.

Management has ignored our emails and calls, and still hasn't taken any action. Think twice about whether this is what you're looking for. I wish we'd checked the reviews before moving in.

The building itself is great, but living here has been close to zero comfort. I’ve been without hot water for a month, even though it’s getting cold in November and December. They gave me keys to another apartment and expect me to go there almost every day to shower, with no compensation offered. My own place is modern, but parts of the kitchen floor are coming loose and there are holes in the bathroom walls. Complaining to Vonder feels pointless. They barely answer calls or emails, and when they do, they reply selectively. I’ve never met anyone from the company in person. I moved in a few months ago and have had problems ever since. I saw complaints about management before I moved in, but didn’t think much of them. I really wish I had. Eitam passes issues to colleagues when he can’t handle them. When I raised the hot water issue for what felt like the hundredth time, he passed it to David, who has told me several times he doesn’t work for Hill House. Please don’t be taken in by the five-star reviews. They aren’t from the tenants who live at Hill House.

The building is cool, but save yourself the trouble of dealing with this management. I’ve had no hot water in the shower for three weeks, and they still have no answer. When I contacted them again, they asked whether I’d emailed or reported it in the app, as though I hadn’t already tried both. It doesn’t seem to matter what you do, they still don’t reply. Maintenance takes so long that it’ll make you want to tear your hair out. They ignore emails, calls, and messages. David gave me his number so I could reach him directly about maintenance requests and get them sorted quickly. Now he doesn’t reply either. 💃💃 Eitam never replies. This management is so useless it may as well not exist.
