We could hear the person next door coughing all night, footsteps overhead and people showering upstairs, so the room clearly wasn’t soundproof. When I raised this with the owner, he was rude and dismissed what I said. The bathroom situation was also unclear: most of the accommodation seems to have shared bathrooms, but that wasn’t clearly advertised, unlike other listings that mention it in the room title. “Deluxe Double Room” doesn’t make that clear, and the photos made it look like there was an ensuite. It’s very expensive for what it is. I wouldn’t stay here again and can’t recommend it.

My girlfriend was hospitalized the day before our trip, so we wanted to reschedule our stay rather than cancel it. We tried several times to contact the hotel, but they ignored our messages and cancelled the reservation because we didn’t show up. We lost all our money. The lack of communication and support was unacceptable, especially in such a difficult situation. If customer service and understanding matter to you, I’d strongly advise against staying here. Save your money for a hotel that cares about its guests.

A medical emergency kept us from checking in, and even after we explained what had happened, the accommodation showed little understanding or flexibility. It was also hard to get a response from them, and it felt as if our messages were being ignored. The whole reservation experience was frustrating.

It’s clean and budget-friendly, and the fully equipped shared kitchen has breakfast options. Thames View House is peaceful and quiet, away from central London. The nearest bus stop is Grove Street/Plough Way, and Canada Water Station serves the Jubilee Line and Overground, making it easy to get into the city. A good option for travellers.
