The Carlyle by Nestor

My stay at the apartment was extremely poor and unacceptable. There was urine near the bed in the master bedroom, which was disturbing and unhygienic. Dust was all around the room, and the tables and wardrobes hadn’t been wiped properly. Under the bed, I found chocolate leftovers, used tissues, and accumulated dust. That clearly showed a serious lack of proper housekeeping. The bathrooms weren’t properly maintained either. One shower didn’t work properly, and there was no bidet or handheld sprayer for personal hygiene, which is a basic necessity. We contacted apartment management to ask for a different unit, but they said that wasn’t possible because there was no availability. A cleaning team was later sent to clean the area, and the next day Mr. Rouland brought an air purification machine. Still, the first impression had already affected the whole experience, and the situation was difficult to overlook. This stay was far below acceptable standards for an apartment, and I wouldn’t recommend this place for Arab families.

Our flat was spacious and just the right size for our family of five. It was clean, with updated amenities and furnishings, and the staff were attentive. They made check-in and checkout easy with clear instructions. The location was perfect, near the Tube, parks, shops, and restaurants. Since we were due to arrive at 8am, they arranged an early check-in as well as a late checkout. We had an amazing time at The Carlyle and would definitely stay again.

The apartment was immaculate, with three bedrooms for the three of us, plenty of coffee and towels, and really comfortable luxury mattresses. We felt safe there, and the locked entrance was well lit for our late arrival. We asked for a couple of things during the stay and they sorted them out straight away. It was very good value and handy for Holland Park and Earls Court tram. We were three women on a quick London trip, and since we'd all been before, we didn't have a packed list of things to do. Happy to recommend it.

Communication was prompt and thorough, and Nestor was very apologetic when the entry codes for both the door and our unit failed. We couldn't get in, which was especially frustrating after 20 hours of travel with our disabled son and elderly mother. Nestor fixed it as soon as they could. Once inside, we liked the clean, tastefully decorated two bedroom, two bathroom unit. The living and kitchen area was spacious, and the Wi-Fi worked well. We were in unit 1, right beside the front door, so we sometimes heard people passing. Nearby parking was hard to find and pricey, though that seems typical of London. There are lots of good places to eat nearby and several large supermarkets.
