The room's lighting was so poor at night that the small bedside lamps and desk light left it feeling dark and gloomy. I mentioned it to reception, and the lack of a power outlet by the bed was inconvenient too. The only one was near the desk, far away for charging phones overnight. I really liked The Cavendish, and the location, cleanliness, room and service were all excellent. Everything else was perfect, but those two problems would make me think twice about booking again.

The room was spotless and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was excellent too. The Cavendish is a beautiful hotel in a perfect central spot. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back.

Vanessa made a real difference to our stay. She went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed, including helping us get some special amenities, and even left a lovely handwritten card. That personal touch felt thoughtful and rare, and made the whole experience more memorable. Everyone on staff showed incredible hospitality from the moment we arrived. Can't wait to return!

The location is the hotel's only real advantage. The rooms are noticeably small and the furniture feels quite dated. It's overpriced, and having to repeatedly ask for the deposit back is an ongoing hassle.
