It was a really nice Sunday lunch at The Cleveland Arms, with a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and very enjoyable food and drinks apart from one thing. The roast chicken was unfortunately quite dry, and it took a while to place our first order. Service picked up after that and the rest of lunch went smoothly. Still a good pub with a great atmosphere, and we’d happily return.
The team at the Cleveland Arms made my birthday celebration in the back room feel extra special. They were very accommodating, and the venue looked beautiful. I could come in ahead of time to decorate. The food was good and there was a wide choice of drinks. Special thanks to Jas & Nemisha. I’ll be recommending the place to all my friends!
The Sunday roast was excellent, with a generous serving of beef and not much fat. The food was high quality, the atmosphere was amazing and the customer service was excellent. Can’t wait to come back!
Families came in for dinner while couples settled in for the evening, and older men were catching up over drinks alongside groups of younger people. It feels like the kind of modern neighborhood pub you want. There’s a quieter dining room downstairs. The upstairs bar was packed when we arrived, so service for drinks was slow.
It’s a lovely, proper British pub with good food, a nice atmosphere, and great staff. The tables are a little cramped, though, and you’ll need to book for a meal. We went on a Thursday night and every table was reserved. It’s a bit out of the way, but worth the trip.
