The Dictionary Hostel London

The hostel was quirky and colourful, and the room was clean with a surprisingly comfortable bed. The man who helped me was very friendly, even though he had to explain that my bed wasn’t available and I’d be moved. No one offered a refund for the price difference. I needed a quiet place to sleep, but there was extremely loud noise until after 4am, so that didn’t work out. If I’d been looking for somewhere to party, though, the location would have been fantastic.

Our 10-person room was split in two, so our side had plenty of privacy. The staff were wonderful, and we never felt unsafe. It’s also very well located, with most of London reachable in 30-40 minutes. The place was much cleaner than we expected for the price, and breakfast was really good. Staff even cooked up things like sandwiches and cheese on bread.

The location was great, with a bus running 24/24 right outside the hostel to Leicester Square, which was perfect for a night out. We had a very nice, comfortable room for two and good breakfast every morning. The staff were so kind. It was his first check-in and he nailed it, and he even spoke French! Really good value for the price. I highly recommend it, and thanks to the team! ☺️

I was happy with the welcome, and the team and rooms were great. The people working there are really nice. They’d run out of adapters and locks, but the shop next to the hostel had them. Breakfast was a little disappointing since there wasn’t a vegan milk option, though that’s just my personal preference. You might have to wait for a receptionist to help, but you can meet nice people while you’re waiting ;)
