The Dome Camden

I’d give the stay 10/10 and highly recommend booking here. Kim-Le Tong, the multisite General Manager, was a big reason why. He was my main contact throughout, replied to emails promptly, never left me waiting, and dealt with any questions or problems quickly and efficiently. He was supportive and consistently went above and beyond. The location is lovely, with easy transport links for getting into Central London. The housekeeping and maintenance teams also kept the property and shared areas spotless, and quickly dealt with lighting or mechanical problems. The maintenance staff were skilled and responsive. I’d recommend The Dome Apartments Camden, you won’t be disappointed.

At least the room I'm living in is good and well maintained. The earlier management wasn't helpful at all, but Nitin Chunilal has been supportive, listened to our problems and gone out of his way to help, even late at night or on weekends. My stay would've been quite difficult without him.

We rented a studio room with a kitchen and private bathroom, and as long-term residents we could also use the shared kitchen on each floor. My wife and I lived at The Dome for nearly 1.5 years, then moved out to return to our hometown. I was skeptical at first when searching on spareroom because of the location, the price, and the fact it was a hotel, but choosing it turned out to be one of my best accommodation decisions. The rooms are modern and clean, with all bills included. They're not especially spacious, but a couple can manage, and having your own bathroom helps. The staff were friendly and helpful. Buses and Kentish Town Underground on the Northern Line are easy to reach, and go straight to central London. We had a couple of small issues early on, like the shower switching between hot and cold, but they fixed things quickly once we reported them by email. There's also a car park at the back you can rent if needed. London rent is so high, especially with spareroom, where you might have to share a bathroom or pay bills separately. The Dome is run by The Collective for long-term lets, and bills and broadband are included, so it was great value. I'd recommend it without hesitation.

The rooms were nice and the neighbors were fine, though traffic noise was a problem. The real struggle was dealing with staff. Ordinary questions, asking for help, and the move-in and move-out process were all painful. It didn't seem like they cared about getting business for Dome Apartment, since their main operation is The Collective in Canary Wharf. They couldn't even be bothered to update the phone number on the Dome Apartment Camden website, although they could be reached on WhatsApp. I dealt with Krishna and Lloris, who are meant to handle problems at Dome Apartment. Getting a reply without sending several messages was a matter of luck. Monthly payments were another mess. They had us sign up for GoCardLess, which was difficult, but then didn't use it, so we had to send a picture as proof of payment every month, like it was the 80s. The deposit took ages to come back after the rental, and it almost felt like they might run off with it. The place itself and the neighbors were good, but the employees were bad. The company could've hired a smart person to replace nearly five or six of its current employees. My nan could do a better job.
