I was told at check-in that I was "guest of the day" and got a complimentary upgrade to a penthouse suite. It was luxurious, with a separate lounge, two lavatories, a bath, a rainfall shower, and a lovely outdoor terrace. The room had a Nespresso machine, kettle, bottled water, a good selection of teas, and a basket of snacks with biscuits and crisps. The toiletries were high-end. The hotel has quirky decor and gave me a lovely friendly greeting on arrival. Breakfast the next day was good, mostly continental, with a few hot items as well. Staff were friendly and helpful again, and check-out was easy.

Elena was a real asset to the bar. She was always friendly, professional, and attentive, recommended excellent cocktails, and made us feel welcome every time. The drinks were great, and the 2-for-1 cocktail deal at happy hour was a nice bonus that let us try different ones. We started coming to the bar for breakfast on our first morning in May 2026 and enjoyed it straight away. The continental spread was varied and plentiful, and they kept replenishing it throughout service. In the evening, the atmosphere shifted, making it a good spot for drinks or something to eat. The hotel is in a great South Kensington location, just a few minutes' walk from the Circle and District line station, so it was easy to get around London.

The welcome was friendly, and the hotel is quirky and well located. My room was tidy and nicely decorated, though some things had been left behind by the previous guest. There wasn't a toothbrush and comb set either. As a vegetarian and vegan, I wouldn't recommend it for breakfast. There were no vegetarian sausages even after I asked, and the vegan options were very poor. As a UK travel agent, I don't think this deserves five stars. Three or four stars would be a more honest rating. I'd consider £120 a night a fair room price, and at that rate it would be good value.

We had an amazing time at this fun, quirky hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the location was spot on, and room service was very prompt. Breakfast was pretty tasty too. Thanks to everyone at the Exhibitionist. We'll definitely come back and try one of the suites with hot tubs.

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary, and the hotel had put rose petals and love heart balloons on the bed. We thought it was a really lovely touch. I booked just a couple of hours before we arrived in London and mentioned the anniversary on the booking form. I'd recommend this hotel 100% and can't wait to come back, hopefully to try the splash suits next time.
