The Kempsford Gardens Nest - AG01

June 2019. The location was a real plus: safe, very quiet at night, and the building felt secure. The public areas were reasonably clean and well lit, and there were plenty of towels. The apartment itself, though, was shabby, with scuff marks on the walls, and very sparsely furnished. There were no bedside tables or lamps, so reading in bed wasn’t possible, and only two drinking glasses for a four-person apartment. The pull-out bed in the sitting room felt extremely dodgy and unhygienic. The heavy sash windows only stayed open with a bolt, which could be dangerous for children. Torn, cheap paper blinds hung at an angle and made the place look like a tenement. I also hated the repeated requests for documents by email. We’d already paid in full, and I don’t understand why they wanted copies of credit cards and passports. I’m not comfortable sending personal details over the internet.
