The Kensington Apartments

The staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful, which really made the stay worthwhile. The area is gorgeous, and you can walk to the natural history museum. Our basic basement room was fairly clean and fine for somewhere to sleep, since we weren’t after anything fancy. Getting to it meant going through the breakfast hall, which wasn’t ideal, but it is what it is. The WiFi was slow, and the electrics felt sketchy. Whenever I switched on the bedside lamp, it turned off if I moved. How? It really didn’t feel safe.

The staff were friendly, and the room was cleaned daily. It’s very convenient for Gloucester Road tube station, which is quite central, and there are several supermarkets nearby. The room could get pretty cold in winter, even with the extra blanket, as there was no heater. There’s no washing machine on-site either. The nearby laundromat only takes coins, which is practically impossible for a tourist to have on hand in 2026.

The room was perfectly adequate, nothing spectacular, but the staff were spectacular. Big shout-out to 'Shark', who freely shared accurate information and was a huge help. The location was great too, with the Underground about a block and a half away and multiple lines available. I’d recommend it and will definitely book here next time I’m in London.

The staff are very friendly and open to requests. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times, and it’s clean, recently renovated and in a great location. Definitely recommended, and I’ll be back again. Thanks to General Manager Mr Adrian for the professional support.
