The food was incredible, with generous portions and endless tea. My sister and I came for the Bridgerton themed afternoon tea at the Lanesborough, and it was such an experience. Everyone was warm and friendly, made us feel welcome and looked after every need. We couldn't fault the staff. A special mention for Raffaella, who took such good care of us and is a real credit to the Lanesborough. We've been a few times already and love the afternoon tea, so we'll definitely be back soon. Thank you for a wonderful time! 💚

The room's gentle hush was lovely, with well-spaced tables in little pools of light and carpet that swallowed the sound. You could almost imagine you were dining alone, but there was still a comfortable sense of movement, like a well-tuned engine. Our modest party arrived at 6:30pm, dressed for the modest dress code, and started with champagne while we decided what to eat. The three-course menu and food were modest, as was the price. The staff were friendly, efficient, intelligent and kind. They appeared when we needed them and didn't hover. Our sommelier deserves a special mention. If you're honest about what you like and can spend, they'll guide you to something a little nicer than your usual choice while keeping to budget. Ours did exactly that. We don't have pennies to wave a stick at, and our wine was sensibly priced and available by the glass. We came for something we might not otherwise have made the effort to afford. The meal was presented as you'd expect at a 5-star hotel, and the food was nice. I like giving glowing reviews, but I don't shy away from bad ones. These days life is all superlatives, often misplaced. You're a “legend” just for turning up with a bag of nachos. For me, though, this experience really was exceptional, a word I don't use lightly, because the staff lifted it above the ordinary. At a 5-star hotel you expect very good service, and this was better. You get back what you put in. Restaurant staff are people providing a service, not servants. Treat them respectfully, listen, and let them know their work matters. If you want a good dinner, be a good diner.

The luxurious decor gave the place a Victorian England feel, and everything we ate, from the sandwiches to the pastries, was freshly made. We came for our anniversary and had the champagne afternoon tea. It was AMAZING, and the food was delicious. We were especially glad we could ask for more sandwiches. Everyone was friendly and helpful, especially Rafael. We had a wonderful afternoon, totally worth it. We'd recommend it for any occasion!

After an overnight stay the previous week, I came back with friends last week for spa treatments. The hotel is a favourite of mine, and the Christmas decorations this year were the best ever. Asia, Justina and Dr Galyna pampered me and made me feel special, thank you all. We had a lovely lunch in the spa. The Chicken Cesear salad was delicious, and so were the juice shots. Thanks again for a wonderful day. Everyone is welcoming, polite and friendly.

It felt quiet, serene and cozy, almost like being at home. This was the best property I've stayed at in London across my 9 visits. The staff, service, location, amenities and rooms were all amazing, with hospitality and attention to detail I haven't found elsewhere. A special thank you to the staff who made my stay so special. I'll 100% stay here again.
